Fundamental Theologie: Sendung Christi, Band 1. Ausgabe 3. Hueber, München 1962. Fundamental Theologie: Auftrag der Kirche, Band 2. Ausgabe 3. Hueber, München 1962.

The problems of fundamental theology arouse increasing interest. We are particularly pleased to see that gone purely negative criticism of apologetics, which is attacked as "outdated" and who have made valuable contributions to understanding and solving the apologetic issues, for example on the concept of revelation and the role of the miracle as a divine sign. But, in this case, it is true that experience teaches: That the concrete achievements are far from ideal, the object of aspirations and praise.

In researching the life of Jesus, we not yet possess the necessary elements for its detailed and comprehensive, despite new discoveries and findings knowledge. The approach taken in this research is ever strongly influenced by one's position before the problem of Christ. This book prof. Albert Lang is the manual most famous and widespread Fundamental Theology in Germany and other countries of Central Europe. In recent years it is usual text book in the Faculty of Theology of Germany, whose language has reached three editions within a few years. For the latest information and the mentality with which they are raised and issues being resolved,

Albert Lang's book exposes the state of affairs in the spirit of the Second Vatican Council. The first Spanish edition that now appears, made over the last German has taken into account the guidance and teachings of the documents of Vatican II that affect the object of the Fundamental Theology, as are the dogmatic constitution Lumen Gentium on the Church, and Dei Verbum on divine revelation. The author himself has sent quite a few notes in this regard. Preparers also the Spanish edition have been updated references. This revision work of the Spanish edition disproportionately affects the second volume to the first, for the simple reason that the conciliar magisterium has spread his teachings about the being of the Church.

However, the coincidence of Lang with the teaching of Vatican II, yet even before the German 3rd edition, is a guarantee of modernity author. Finally, it should be noted that, considering that the problems of fundamental theology wake up every day more interest, even outside the circle of theologians, the author has tried and succeeded an attractive and pleasant exposure, so his book is suitable to be read by every educated person to point the way to a profound reflection on their faith and their Christian religion and even a search for it.
